I just love the concept here, and how the whiteness of the flowers stands out against the darker background.

This is cute. I love the concept. The focus seems pretty good (though it's not that easy to tell with the glare), although I think the DOF is slightly too shallow, since the metal bottom of the bulb is a little blurry. The bokeh is also a bit coarse for my tastes. I like the fact that virtually the only vivid colours in the shot are of the daisies and grass in the bulb. I think you ought to have hidden that blade of grass that's just poking out from behind the bulb, though, and there are some bright red specks in the soil that are a tad distracting. You could desaturate the red to make them less noticeable. The composition isn't bad, but I think that the bulb ought to be straight (it's slightly tilted here) and more centred, which you could achieve by cropping some space from the top of the frame. The lighting is a bit of a let-down here. The image is quite flat-looking, and the glare on the bulb is quite strong and overshadows the daisies. I think it would have been better if you'd done this on a brighter day and used a piece of white cloth to diffuse the light, or lit the scene artificially with a couple of lamps, again diffusing the light. I also agree with *burdock87 that it would have been better if you'd rotated the bulb to hide the broken glass.
I'm not sure what kind of a critique you're looking for, but I'll give ya my thoughts anyway. First of all, I love the concept. It can be taken so many different ways; from the message of take care of the earth, to energy can be created naturally. The thing I don't like about it is the fact that there's a ton of glare on the light bulb. I realize that you'll have glare no matter how you do it; but that's just my opinion. Something you could think about is turning the bulb so the broken piece isn't showing; giving the image a more seamless and "natural" appearance. To go for a more dramatic effect, perhaps put small rocks or pebbles around in the dirt; it would be like the rose in the desert, or something like that. Again, overall, I think this is an excellent picture, and I would love to see something similar with other flowers too. ^.^

It's a really great idea for a shot, though.
